WATCH ULTRA – APPLE Ultra WATCH BENEFITS AND BADIES

Is larger always preferable? We examine the positives and negatives of Apple's most expensive wearable.
With Apple Watch this year, everything is changing. The Series 3 has long since passed away, long after it ought to have. The Series 8 is currently the model above the entry-level Apple Watch SE. The Apple Watch Ultra, however, is the top of the line.

The most extreme activities, according to Apple, served as the inspiration for this newcomer, which has “revolutionary new capabilities” and a “revolutionary new design.” But did Apple succeed with every adjustment it made, or did the Ultra fail? Let's investigate.

A BIG, FLAT SCREEN IS A PRO

The 49mm display is flat and larger than any other Apple Watch's, making it simpler to use no matter what you're doing. It is also significantly brighter than the Series 8's, which is fantastic in the sun as well as at night because it also functions as a flashlight.

IT'S BIG AND BULKY, A CON

The relative weight of the Ultra might not matter if you have a thing for big timepieces. If not, you might not like the obvious titanium guard or the Ultra's 60% heavier weight than an aluminum Series 8 rifle.
It’s still connected to an iPhone, A CON

This watch wants you to escape from everything, but it is unable to do so for very long because of the iPhone. With GPS, the Ultra can operate alone for a while, but it is absurdly dependent on an iPhone for setup, data syncing, and backup.

PRO: A NEW BUTTON IS AVAILABLE

The side button and Digital Crown are on the Ultra. A second button is located on the left. This orange Action button can be customized. We fervently hope that extends to other Apple Watches, as well as, now that I think about it, iPhones and iPads.

ADVANTAGE: BATTERY IS BETTER…

Apple states that the battery life of the Ultra is double that of the Series 8 and lasts for 36 hours. However, a lot of customers are now seeing extended intervals between charges, sometimes even up to three days. That is significant for everyday use.

CON: BUT FOR SOME, NOT ENOUGH

However, using a lot of cellular data or engaging in strenuous activity can cause the battery to deplete more quickly, raising the hilarious question of whether the Ultra would be suitable for a 100km ultramarathon. It couldn't compare to other Garmin watches, which can operate for more than 100 hours without a charge.

Is an Apple Watch Ultra Suitable for you?

An Apple Watch Ultra is superfluous and overkill for most people. But that is pessimistic thinking. Consider if you want to spend this much on an Apple Watch and whether you like the way it looks, even if you aren't a huge fan of hiking or extreme sports. It's probably not for you if those thoughts bother you.

However, it can be a fantastic purchase if you've always wanted a larger Apple Watch screen, a more robust Apple Watch shell, or a battery that lasts longer. The Ultra may not have the same battery power as a Garmin, but it still has a number of other features that make it an excellent option if you enjoy extreme sports.
